Just heard the BBC Singers are to be disbanded. It’s not only an awful loss for them, exceptionally talented musicians and wonderful people, it also subtracts from our cultural life something that took about a century to create and we won’t get back.

So, yesterday evening I interviewed the wonderful Dr Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason at the #autumnfestivalofnorfolk. And #Braimah #Jeneba and #Mariatu entertained a packed house with a stunning concert. They are beyond amazing in every way. Such joy.

How wonderful that we have a monarch who loves and supports the arts and truly enjoys the company of artists of all kinds. A memorable evening for him and you, I am sure.
