A fantastic day at the Dorset Leadership Academy today at Bryanston School 40 schools, 500 children from across the county all coming together to share ideas and improve their skills and start their own journeys to ultimately increase physical activity within their schools.

Loads of fun this afternoon at the Gillingham family primary girls football festival for years 5 & 6. Plenty of goals, dribbles, nutmegs, but most importantly of all … smiles. 😁

A lovely afternoon at the Gillingham family tag rugby tournament. We saw tries a plenty as 8 teams battled it out for the honour of being crowned champions. Huge thanks to North Dorset Rugby Club for hosting. Well done to Mere Primary School who finished the day unbeaten as champions 🏆

Lots of fun at the Gillingham family year 3 & 4 netball festival tonight. Well done to all those who took part and a big thanks to Gill School Dorset for allowing use of the facilities and supplying some outstanding leaders.

A busy start to the year in North Dorset sees the small schools football tournament take place on Thursday this week⚽️. Places are also already filling up for the primary indoor athletics, despite the invite only going out 10 mins ago 🏃‍♂️

A really positive meeting this morning with colleagues from Dorset FA, YST and other Barclays Girls Football Sports Partnerships about all the great things already taking place and how to further grow Girls Football within the County. ⚽️

9 teams attended the Gillingham family hockey tournament this afternoon. Plenty of goals all round and some great matches eventually saw Wyke Primary take home the title as champions. 🏆

A big thanks to Riversmeet Gymnastics for hosting and running our primary gymnastics CPD session this morning. Some great sharing and really looking forward to the gymnastics competition taking place in March. 🤸‍♀️

Congratulations to Thornford Primary School who were victorious at the North Dorset Small Schools football tournament yesterday afternoon. ⚽️ By default, they are now also the Dorset County Champions 🏆and progress to the SW. Finals later in the term 👏👏👏

Well done to Motcombe Primary Sch who were victorious at the North Dorset Indoor Athletics finals this afternoon. They now progress to the Dorset Finals later in the year.

Indoor rowing last week at Gillingham School as part of the North Dorset virtual league. There were some huge individual performances with plenty of grit and resilience from the competitors. Looking forward to visiting Gryphon Sport TBS PE Faculty and Shaftesbury PE next.

Plenty of fun this morning at the Gillingham family dance festival. Fantastic effort from all involved. Out of the 90 children involved, there were 36 who had never represented their school before 👏👏👏
