The Wagner Legion based in Istra advertises recruitment for Equatorial Guinea. Instructors of the Africa Corps have been present in the country since August 2024. Recruiters of the Wagner Legion confirmed that contracts are signed directly with the Africa Corps.

Africa Corps recruits translators for French, Spanish, and Arabic. Recently, the Africa Corps has expanded recruitment for Equatorial Guinea through its proxy, the Wagner Legion of Istra. On March 21, the Africa Corps posted a video of Equatorial Guinean troops training.
