Last but not least....the final Schmidt lab undergrad honors recepient, Mark Maynes! His thesis was related to optimizing an apoptosis-mediated decell protocol for lung tissue. Job well done! Mark is always up to trouble- he egged his mentors right after this pic was taken.

Great job by our UG researchers who presented in the Schmidt Lab UG Research Symposium, which is the highlight of each semester. Special congrats to our graduating seniors, Kata Alilovic, Aaron Choi & Natalie Ordonez! And, fun memories of the seniors presented by their mentors!

The Schmidt Lab bid farewell to Dr. Deanna Bousalis and her fiancé, Dr. Winston Chu, both UF BME graduates, by painting the 34th Street Wall - a great Gainesville tradition! Surprise visit by Dr. McCrary too (former Schmidt Lab UFBME PhD). Congrats Deanna & Winston!
