Reading through posts and comments here, I don’t think a lot of people understand the actual legal question the Supreme Court is considering, and how narrow their judgement is likely to be.

Does anyone know of an article or something that explains idealogical capture? Anything that is “right-coded” will be rejected without consideration.

My oldest, trans child isn’t my only one. Discouraged younger sister is in a new class where one fifth of the natal girls identify as trans. The school doesn’t push anything here, but that’s a lot of peer influence. Ridiculous people insist there is no social influence trend.

Heartbreaking watching my beautiful, intelligent kid slip into depression and isolation, wrapped up in a highly dubious belief system.

My wife’s fiend just posted some wildly exaggerated “facts” about transgender suicide on Facebook. Every time this happens her bubble gets reinforced, and we get closer to divorce.

Several San Francisco area friends posting photos of their biologically female high school graduates with “they/them” pronouns. Peculiarly, many of them show no sign of actual transition or even non-traditional appearance. I’m not sure what to make of that. 🤷‍♂️

The good: There is finally lots of open discussion of gender concepts and pediatric medical practices. Nobody is able to suppress open discussion anymore. The bad: Using the force of government to “settle” the issue. It doesn’t really settle anything.

Disappointed. A couple of nice folks offered to chat with me privately in DMs, then never followed up. I understand people are busy, but I could use their insight right now.

I’m so frustrated. I think I have a solid understanding now of what is going on with “gender”. The people in my life who would benefit greatly from my sharing that understanding don’t want to listen.
