£410,000 of public money has been spent on a pointless referendum for a city mayor role that the Yes campaign knew was being scrapped. This Thursday, vote NO to this waste - and help Plymouth draw a line under this saga.

The Govt is scrapping city mayors - but one millionaire with property interests is making Plymouth pay £410k for a vote anyway. Voting NO on 17 July sends a message: our city isn’t for sale, and democracy shouldn’t be shaped by the wealthy few.

Some numbers before Plymouth’s referendum. Since 2000, there have been 63 refs on local authority mayors. Of those, only 22 voted yes. Of those, only 13 have kept DEMs. Last time Plymouth was asked, no won with 42811 votes vs 29559. I hope we vote No City Mayor - Plymouth Knows Better again tomorrow.
