The Northwestern Law Review is thrilled to celebrate the incoming Editorial Board for 2022-23, Volume 117! Since its inception in 1906, the Law Review has sought to be at the forefront of publishing high-quality legal scholarship. 1/6

As a part of that mission, the boards of Vols. 116 and 117 remain committed to elevating diverse voices and fostering inclusion. The Law Review recognizes and congratulates the diverse leaders of its Editorial Board and the entirety of Vol. 117. 2/6

This is a special moment for the Law Review. Today, we acknowledge & applaud that Bradford McGann will serve as the first Black Editor-in-Chief, according to available records. In another first, Taylor Nchako will serve as the Law Review’s first Black Online Editor in Chief. 3/6

While the Law Review celebrates the contributions that Bradford and Taylor will bring, and their achievements thus far, it recognizes that it should not have taken more than a century for these moments to occur. 4/6

The Law Review, on behalf of Vols. 116 and Vol. 117, recognizes its responsibility to amplify the diverse voices that exist in our communities. Together, the Law Review will continue to strive for excellent legal scholarship, discourse, and inclusion—in Vol. 117 and beyond. 5/6
