Portuguese Nintendo news site Nintendo Universe, known as a reliable source of Nintendo info has claimed a #NintendoDirect will air next week. NateTheHate has also suggested the same thing. The site is claiming it is not a Partner Showcase, as first party titles will be shown.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has seemingly suggested that Nintendo's next system will support backwards compatibility with the #NintendoSwitch, revealing the company "will update [Sparks of Hope] for the new machine." Wording could also suggest an updated re-release, however.

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has shared #NintendoSwitch successor info. Following an email w/ Furukawa, he claimed the system will have a "closer alignment" to the PS4/XBO. This info was shared to convince the FTC that the Call of Duty franchise will run natively on the system.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder could be deliberately more difficult than recent 2D Mario entries, more akin to a game like Super Mario Bros. 3. Testers are reportedly finding the game to be pretty difficult. Note: This rumor is coming from Zippo, who doesn't have the best track record

Rumored Nintendo Switch 2 information from the Nate The Hate podcast (regarding the systems recent private showcase) - Matrix UE5 demo shown and looked comparable to the Series X / PS5, featured ray tracing. - 4K 60FPS BOTW tech demo also shown. - System uses a modified DLSS 3.5

If it wasn't already assured, we now know with certainty that Nintendo's next system is going to be positioned as a "next generation Switch," thanks to internal emails in the FTC v. Microsoft case. The system has "closer alignment" with gen 8 (PS4/XBO) systems.
