Mass(ive) production batch of 12pcs of ADC AK5572 sold out so here comes v1.2. No major changes, just an evolving design. Also experimentation on gain trimming. If you work on Pro audio, let me know what you'd want to see in ADCs/DACs. There has been some interest in that space.

Dear Mouser, can I return this part, there's something wrong with it. This morning waking us up too early, attacking feet, and biting and destroying everything.

Putting something together for myself, preparing for a new setup in a new house. Finally a speaker setup, while it's been mostly headphones for years. This will be a 4ch preamp around miniDSP with Dirac. My own boards for inputs and outputs - also some yet to be released 😬

This chassis has seen a few projects as all the holes tell. This is the famous last one! Reusing chassis, Hypex modules, my preamp boards, and rear panel (replacing some XLRs with Speakons) from different projects to put together one rather beefy unique 4-channel integrated amp.

There is this growing thought that this may not be the best idea that has come out of my head. I've spent like half a weekend just wiring this thing. It almost reminds me of commercial AVR in terms of use of space inside chassis. Complete pain to put together. Lets hope all works

My 4ch integrated Messy Amp (put together stuff I already had) runs a bit too warm but thanks to AUDIOPHONICS and quick delivery the aid is here πŸ˜„ Those heatsinks on side panels should help. Not my prettiest piece inside but it works.

Doing this while listening to Contextual Electr. podcast about DIY pick and place machine. Ooh, one day, hopefully. Would suit well my small batches of pricey audio boards. And this is NOT how I want to spend my electronics time. Considering next batch of these done in China though.

What is this solder paste plague? First time in my short reflowing career. Dodgy or dry paste? It was end of jar, although a week earlier all fine. Or sth wrong with oven? Paste looks like sand after reflow and parts all over the place. Need to go through EVERY pad manually.

Second time in relatively short period of time that tsoHost email servers are down. Status page says only webmail but it's not only webmail.

Gosh this is annoying. Suggestions for UK based hosting (for dummies)? I'd need to revise my package anyway. For 2-3 small-ish WP sites, would maybe want to transfer my domains from Godaddy (cause they suck) at some point, and should get SSL as well for future webshop at least.

It's been a bit quieter. We moved house a month ago (I'm getting my small Hifi room!) and it's a lot of work and distractions! My 9-to-5 work will also get busier. Been mostly dealing with orders and questions but trying to start working on website updates and new stuff as well.

Made a bit shelf space in my wee lab for future kit but it's taken now 😸 (It's been quiet for months; new house last year, lots other things and audio for myself. Been mostly assembling and selling boards. New stuff slowly coming as well, been investigating opamps this weekend)

It's busy at my board 'store' again. Probably something to do with that most of the messages from my contact form are actually coming through again πŸ™ˆ Sorry for all lost messages over months, I presume! "Teething problems", said Tories when export went down 90% after Brexit.
