Disappointing but not surprising. The initial funding for this year's new build social housing development programme is less than half of what's required. Housing Associations need certainty and clarity to properly plan and deliver sufficient new builds

Stormont’s budget has been criticised for falling “woefully short” with funding allocated for only 1,000 new social houses this year. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-…

NIFHA’s response to the Minister’s announcement on the new build budget for the year ahead. 🏠 ⬇️ With over 49,000 applicants on the waiting list for a social home, this budget allocation falls considerably short. Housing Associations need certainty on funding now.

Thanks to everyone at Braidwater Group for welcoming the CEF team to their H2 development at Buncrana Road in Derry! It was a pleasure to see first-hand the early stages of this incredible site which will deliver up to 2,500 much-needed homes in the city. 🏡

At SFHA Annual Conference in #Glasgow & interesting to hear Scottish First Minister John Swinney that Scottish Government plans to confirm a 3 year budget for Scottish housing associations later this month. This is exactly what's needed in NI to enable a secure pipeline of new homes
