My hunger for this life always outpaces the time I have to learn new things. Anyone else feel this way? Like this world is a never-ending feast and you can’t get enough?

Quotidian gestures go so much further than grand gestures. This was one of my most significant learnings when I was studying anthropology. It’s small, everyday things that make up the most meaning in our lives. Rituals, habits, little phone calls.

It appears that our god is money; our ritual is purchase; our devotion is attention; our saints are the wealthy; our tithe is our streaming subscriptions; our salvation is retirement. I suspect a transformation is coming.
