I was honoured to be asked to write an obituary for the journal for our dear friend Prof Marcello Costa FAA, AO, who sadly passed away early this year. Marcello was an absolute pioneer in enteric neuroscience, one of the godfathers. Here is an obituary. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38932431/
