• Life expectancy down 448 days. • Retirement age up 730 days. And the government now plan to raise the retirement age by another 365 days (1,095 days higher in total). All while paying the lowest pension in Europe. Stand up. Fight this.

Every time you hear a Tory MP saying we can't afford to give workers a proper pay rise remember this: Total wealth of Britain's billionaires ▪️2012: £212 Billion ▪️2022: £653 Billion That's up 3-fold. While pay is falling. It's time for a Wealth Tax on the super-rich!

The 1970 Equal Pay Act. Higher wages. A shorter working day. Strikes have secured victories for us all. Today, a worker's fundamental right to withdraw their labour is under threat from arcane Tory legislation. Sign the petition to fight back. wesayenough.co.uk/petition/

BREAKING🚨| The government has announced anti-strike legislation. When workers democratically vote to strike, they can be forced to work and sacked if they don’t. This is wrong, unworkable, and almost certainly illegal.

I’ve just found out that Lambeth isn't getting a penny of levelling up funding. Just 40 of the 80 successful levelling up bids in England are in the top 100 deprived areas (Lambeth is 71st). But of course there is £19m for the embattled PM’s affluent constituency.

Last month I worked undercover with debt collectors breaking into homes of vulnerable families for British Gas We were sent to force-fit prepayment meters at homes including one where a mum was with her 4 week old baby. If families cannot top up, their heating can be cut off

So, this afternoon I got home to find a lovely letter from NORTHERN 🚆 telling me about how they wanted to prosecute me for using the below ticket to travel on the specified route at a peak time. I paid £1.90 less than the fare they say I should have paid. A thread 🧵

In Parliament tonight, all the Reform MPs voted AGAINST giving workers extra job security and better rights after being kicked around by bad bosses for far too long. Remember that when they pretend to be the voice of ordinary workers.
