When I first came to the United States in 1987, I turned on the TV in my New York hotel room & the first image that popped on the screen was Richard Simmons. 10 years later, I’d randomly bump in to him at The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence. He was charming & larger-than-life. RIP.

Good memory. I also remember you telling me after the debate that you didn’t like how we used “undecided voters” to ask the questions. A big difference from 24 years ago & today is it’s now hard to find undecided voters. And even if we did, the candidates wouldn’t believe us.

So sometimes people buy big screen TV’s and install them on their covered decks, not just to watch the Chiefs… but to feed their public TV addiction. I love it. Thanks Wes.

There’s a lot that can be said about 2024. I shared some thoughts recently with Kansas City PBS about the year that was in Kansas City. Thanks, as always, for your engagement. Looking forward to more progress for Kansas City in the year ahead.
