Today Dan Naylor starts as Founding Scientist Switch Bioworks. With two postdocs of experience from Berkeley Lab and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in microbiome science and sustainable ag, Dan is here for some serious microbe-managing 😅🦠🧪!

On the hunt for a-maize-ing nitrogen fixing microbes to #bioengineer with our Switch Bioworks crew and some incredible farmers in Iowa!

Tomasz Zajkowski Astrobio Tomasz Zajkowski is joining Switch Bioworks strain engineering today. Originally from Poland, Tomasz has a PhD and Postdoc in #Biotechnology 🧬🦠🧪. Before #switching, he was a Research Scientist at NASA USRA 🥼🚀

Switch Bioworks welcomes Elizabeth Ordeman as our newest Research Associate! 🎉 She not only has a B.S. in #genetics and #plantbiology and a M.Eng in #bioengineering from UC Berkeley, but is also qualified for World Triathlon Championships 🚴♂️🥼🦠

Switch Bioworks welcomes Kristi Yanagihara as a #microbiology Research Associate! A Bay Area native with roots from the Philippines and Japan, she recently graduated from Berkeley. She's excited to help Switch make our #foodsystem as green as the green tea cupcakes she bakes! 🌱

Switch Bioworks is happy to welcome Sandipan Samaddar as Microbiome Scientist II 🥼🦠. Originally from India and recently a Postdoc at UC Davis, Dr. Samaddar is an expert in designing #sustainable agricultural management practices 🌱 for boosting the #soilmicrobiome and #soilhealth.

We’re kicking off 2023 by bringing in some world class talent: welcome Caroline Kukolj with over a decade of experience in biofertilizer from Brazil as Scientist II to the Switchforce! 🌱🎉🥼🧬🦠🌽 #climate #biotech

Thrilled to be working with King Philanthropies to make sustainable fertilizer accessible, affordable, and customized to the needs of smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa and their communities!

As Vice President JD Vance Kamala Harris & The White House note, smart #agriculture can help solve the #ClimateCrisis. We're partnering with #Africa to make #fertilizer #sustainable with #biotech: whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…. Fertilizer feeds billions. We can & must remove #FossilFuels from its production.

Proud to be part of the $7 billion Vice President JD Vance Kamala Harris secured with our expanded commitment to build custom biofertilizers for #African soils with #African partners. Fertilizer is the foundation of modern ag. Producing it differently - with #biotech - is #affordable & #sustainable.

💯 agree with Vice President JD Vance that investments today "have the potential to turn the challenges we face into great opportunities that will have generational and global impact." Leveraging #biotech for ag empowers #Africans, creates highly skilled #Jobs, and fosters agricultural independence.

Honored for the opportunity to promote #ClimateAction 🌍across #Africa with Vice President JD Vance and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, US and Zambian industry leaders, government officials, and philanthropists🌽.....
