We have our very own resident author at Hilltop. A.J. Iverson published her very first novel in August. The novel for young adults is available on Amazon. We are proud of this momentous accomplishment!

CATS cards are for sale! Cards can be purchased at Hilltop High School, First Choice Truck and Car Wash, or from any CATS football player.  The cards are $20 and will get you great deals from 43 businesses in town.  There are limited cards so make sure to get yours soon!

The Sr. Golf team participated in Zones in Drayton Valley on Monday. It was a great day of golf!

Hilltop High and Whitecourt Cats alum, and Saskatchewan Roughrider, Morgen Runge, visited Hilltop today. He met with students and former teachers and helped out with a Cats practice. It was a great visit for students, staff, and Cats players.

The CATS travelled to Valleyview on Friday Sept. 12 to take on the Cougars. It was a hard fought battle & the Cougars were victorious. The CATS showed grit & determination and are ready for the next game against the Peace River Pioneers on Friday Sept. 19 at 4 pm at Graham Acres.

The CATS football Blitz Night on Tuesday September 23 from 6:30- 8:30. The players will be going all around town to sell the remaining CATS cards. Purchasing a CATS will give you access to special deals with 43 businesses in town.  The cards are $20.

The Friends of Hilltop School Council is holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 16 at 7 pm in the Learning Commons.

Grade 12 parents are invited to a Grade 12 information meeting on Thursday, September 25 at 7pm in the auditorium. There will be information on Graduation 2026 as well as post-secondary information.

It was a great weekend for Chargers volleyball at the A&W Classic home tournament. Congratulations to the Sr. Girls on winning the Gold Medal and the Sr. Boys for winning the Silver Medal.

Woodlands Operations Learning Foundation (WOLF) is presenting a week-long learning experience for a group of students interested in careers in the forest industry. The students will visit local forest operations, the Huestis Demonstration Forest and complete simulations

Mrs. Trebilcock and Mrs. VDK took a turn on the WOLF simulators.

Today our school community came together for an assembly centered on Orange Shirt Day, life before and after residential schools and exploring the Seven Grandfather Teachings to promote our part in Reconciliation.

A representative from the Faculty of Indigenous Studies at the University of Alberta presented information about the supports and programs available to indigenous students. Reminder, applications are free for Indigenous students from Sept. 30 - Oct. 9

Former student, social media influencer, and entrepreneur Mai Pham visited Hilltop today, where she spoke to students and presented sports teams with her self-designed Alchemai brand (Alchemai Merch) sweatsuits. Thank you for such a generous donation, Mai.

WOLF Forestry students participated in an educational field trip to the Whitecourt Forest Interpretive Center, where they gained hands-on experience with GPS mapping, compass work, forest safety protocols, and geocaching.
