The Class of 2026 had a blast at the first industry tour of the year! We learned about different jobs in the hospitality field, and all our students said they could possibly see themselves working someplace like the Holiday Inn. Thank you Holiday Inn Vandy for welcoming us today!

Our first-year students started job shadowing experiences Monday. They will get to see 9 different on-campus careers this semester. For the first three weeks, they will go to the Data Science Institute, Mama Lere Hearing School, and the Vanderbilt Science Labs #workplacewednesday

Some of our SAIL Scholars attended the Tennessee Employment First Task Force’s Expect Employment presentation this morning. Courtnie, Kai, and Ray got to meet Gov. Bill Lee too ✨ Today was a special day of celebrating employment for people of all abilities #thinkemployment

We were delighted to have the first year Next Steps at Vanderbilt students visit our middle regional office Monday to learn what DIDD is all about! ✨ The students toured the Enabling Technology home, met executive leadership team members, and toured the seating and positioning clinic.

We love getting to see the friendships students create in Next Steps. Ben (‘23) and Rodrigo (‘22) are both working at UPS this semester. Rodrigo has been working there for almost two years and trained Ben as he started working there. Work friends are the best! #workplacewednesday

Hardin (‘15) has worked with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum since he graduated 8 years ago! Matthew (‘24) has interned at the Hall of Fame since the fall, and Hardin has helped train him. We are so grateful for our alumni and how they inspire our students! #workplacewednesday
