We are now engaging 11 NGOs within Gombe LGA for the 1st Phase of the project targeting 1 million trees. The campaign is going to employ 27,000 youth. I'm appealing for your maximum cooperation as we join hands to save our environment from the debilitating effects of the climate.

GOMBE STATE NEWMAP is forging forward in the ongoing Gombe State University Gully Site project. To that effect, a community consultation/stakeholders meeting on Environmental And Social Management Plan (ESMP) was held today at the Gombe State University Multipurpose Hall.

The Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources, Hussaina Danjuma Goje Ph.D has tasked Stakeholders to give NEWMAP and the Consultant handling CMP for GSU and FCE gully sites maximum cooperation and support to ensure a hitch-free and timely project implementation.

A great achievement by Gov. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya as Gombe Government under NEWMAP awarded the contract for the GSU erosion control work at the cost of N2,948,841,891.71 to Triacta Nig. Ltd. The site consists of GSU, Malam Inna, and Kagarawal covering 4.4km.
