Remarkable first step for iPSCs (from a donor) to treat severe spinal cord injury. 1 person standing, 1 some feeling and movement, 2 no effect (n=4), encouraging for regenerative medicine. No SAEs. Likely the donor cells secreted signaling molecules and exosomes.

Creating a “MitoBrainMap” is a fascinating concept. I haven’t looked at the details yet but this approach to mitochondrial metabolism and density should be interesting when merged with brain connectome and PET imaging maps, etc.
