Very proud to share this work led by the amazing Iciar Itur of CAMH Research, via a complicated set of analyses with POND Network to delineate the relations between social cognition, self-regulation, & social adaptation across neurodiverse young people: cambridge.org/core/journals/…

DyscalculiaDay Educator Conference is online and recorded, so catch it from wherever you are in the world! We are excited to hear the amazing Prof. Camilla Gilmore talk about cognitive barriers to #mathslearning. Renaissance UK & Ireland

I'm excited to share my first registered report on social interactions in Autism Journal! Our study explores how social motor synchrony – the natural mirroring of movements – impacts rapport between autistic, neurotypical, and mixed dyads. Thread 👇 journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/13…

New research in Psychological Assessment shows the importance of using the optimal cutoff value for the 10-item Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ10) Great paper by Dr Lucy Waldren, Dr Lucy Livingston , Esther Walton , Prof Mitch Callan, & Dr Punit Shah! psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/2025-…

Nice study from Themis Efthimiou et al.! "Contrary to our first hypothesis (H1), the frequentist and Bayesian analyses did not reveal significant differences in SMS [social motor synchrony] between the three dyad types." = more new & robust evidence against Double Empathy theory.

In autistic vs non-autistic vs mixed pairs, not finding differences in social motor synchrony (SMS)? journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/13… contrary to the authors' hypothesis that "SMS will be significantly higher in non-autistic dyads than those containing at least one autistic individual"

I'm excited to be one of the speakers at National Autistic Society's Annual Professionals’ Conference, live online on 13th March 2025. The conference's theme is exploring neuroaffirmative practice. I'll be talking about high support needs. Tickets and information: autism.org.uk/conference

In this #OpenAccess paper, Alexandra Hendry (Oxford ExpPsychology) et al. examine whether family history of #ADHD associates with stronger problem-solving skills amongst 2- to 3-year-olds. An interesting read. bit.ly/4bz62kK

🚀 New paper Association for Psychological Science & press release! 🧬📖 🧮 Our large-scale study (20,000 children) shows that #ADHD, #dyslexia, and #dyscalculia often co-occur due to shared genetic risk—not because one condition causes the other. doi.org/10.1177/095679… vu.nl/en/news/2025/g… (1/5)
