Between data collection, teaching prep, writing a dissertation chapter and preparing a presentation this week has been exhausting and its only Wednesday

Good day today I found out I passed my second year exam and I am one step closer too completing my PhD and that my supervisor thinks we are ready to write a paper (my 1st) exciting

Bit of news, last week after 7 amazing years together my partner asked me to marry her and I said YES!!! #engaged #wedding #love #lgbtwedding

So it happened. I tested + Covid and even with all the vaccines I am so unwell. This could not have come at a worse time, two weeks before I submit my PhD thesis. Writing, focusing or even simplying sitting at my desk feels impossible right now 😞

My 1st week at Keele University is now complete. Have to say, I am impressed with the facilities, have meet some lovely new colleagues and am both inspired and excited for the challenges this new role will provide

I'm looking for a new laptop, it will mostly be for managing admin docs and creating teaching resources. It needs to be lightweight, reliable and have a good battery life rather than well-powered as I have a separate laptop for running data analysis etc. Any suggestions?
