45,000- 50,000 eligible teachers didn't get pay progression. 30,000 of these teachers had no indication in advance. Huw Tindall-Jones worked with members at his school and managed to win them back pay and progression!

27,000 teachers chose not to appeal being denied pay progression. They are disillusioned and can't see the point. And yet if they engage with their union and appeal it then there is a high rate of success.
