Hello Neon devs!🧙‍♀️ In our latest blog post we explored using Hyperlane for seamless cross-chain transfers↔️⛓️ So today, let's recap the process! Start here: dub.sh/neon-hyperlane…

With so many different L1s and L2s, how can we seamlessly facilitate transfers from chain to chain? The answer is cross-chain protocols, like Hyperlane ⏩. Let's walk through the process!

Make sure to follow Part 1 first and add Neon EVM to Hyperlane. dub.sh/neon-hyperlane Then, from your local environment, source the private key of your funded deployer address. From the same instance, run:

It will create a new warp deployment config, similar to this⬇️

After, we can start the route deployment:

Your deployment plan will look similar to this:

After the deployment is complete, this configuration will be added into warp configurations in your .hyperlane folder. Finally, we start the transfer:

Follow the prompts and enter or source your private key. Make sure your origin network is Holesky, since we created the collateral contract on it. And the destination network is Neon Devnet, which we added in Part 1.

This will start the message relay.

And after the transaction is confirmed on both chains, we can head over to Neon block explorer and check it out. neon-devnet.blockscout.com/tx/0x384a59969… If we scroll down to transaction input and view is as UTF-8, we can see than the transaction value of 9 wei is the very beginning of the

Let’s also go to Neon scan and check the corresponding Solana transactions. devnet.neonscan.org/tx/0x384a59969… In the first Solana tx we can now also see our message in hex format relayed on Solana!

With these simple steps, we have successfully completed a cross-chain transfer and got it recorded not only on Neon but on Solana as well🧙‍♀️
