When a ThM/PhD student, I felt like I had to cite EVERYTHING that I could find It was signaling: ‘Look! I did the work’ Now … too many citations cuts into word count limits for journals, so I’ll just cite “selected” literature and revise if the reviewer thinks it’s not enough

The Greek teacher in me wants to point out that ὀφείλημα means “debts” not “trespasses.” But the other 99% of me is rejoicing that the richest man in the world is quoting Jesus to his +226 million followers. This is amazing.
