We recently visited Copt Hill & Flint Mill, where local residents, via the Links with Nature project, were tree planting, learning about bug hotels, & making bird feeders. Thanks to the volunteers, and DurhamWildlifeTrust, Microsite, & Sunderland UK for the excellent co-ordination.

We were delighted to attend Newcastle City Council Council Climate Change Forum last week! It was fantastic to connect with so many passionate people working towards a more sustainable city. A huge thank you to our very own Lloyd Jones for speaking at the event!🌱💚 #GreenerNewcastle

At Crooks Farm, County Durham, farmer Rob Lowes is transforming 30 hectares with 40,000 trees, wetlands & grazing cattle. Planting started in 2024, finishing by 2026, thanks to NECF, @Woodlandtrust Trees for Climate & Carma. Farming & conservation CAN go hand in hand! 🌱

Happy International Forest Day 🌳 From planting over 62 hectares & 79,500 trees in the 2021-22 planting season, to 163 hectares & almost 240,000 trees in 2023-24, we couldn't have done it without the support of our partners. We look forward to continuing our work with you all.
