Mayor John Franklin is running for the D5 seat on the BOS. If he loses the primary, Franklin could either run for mayor again or the D4 seat in Vista. The 2026 political music chairs are in full swing in Vista.

United Airlines has announced it will begin service from Denver International Airport to McClellan-Palomar Airpot in Carlsbad on March 30, 2026. Story coming Sunday.

The attorneys are not allowed to distribute the video and going through the court is a process. Everyone is racing to get the video. There has been months of speculation of what the video shows and whether Shaffer committed felony assault.

Big win for North County flyers. Two more options, along with the ability to connect to domestic and international routes. However, some residents are furious as the deal brings more flights, noise, etc.

Shaffer has pled not guilty, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 13.

This is the starting sequence, but in the first video you can hear workers say Shaffer "almost" hit Caulfield. We'll see what the DA's Office has in store for the prelim on Nov. 13.

San Marcos is the largest city in North County to enact the ban. They follow Coronado (the first to enact a ban), Chula Vista and Poway. Carlsbad will discuss in the coming weeks.
