Congratulations Kiribati 🇰🇮 on the launch of the typhoid vaccination campaign! With support from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺 and UNICEF, typhoid vaccines will be rolled out across the country in efforts to control spread of typhoid fever and protect families and children.
Vaccination = protection Reren, 4, just received her first dose of the typhoid vaccine in Kiribati 🇰🇮 To help parents protect their children, UNICEF is working with the Ministry of Health and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺 to support health services.
These children from Kiribati are celebrating the completion of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in their school. Thanks to support from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺, UNICEF’s WASH in school facilities project is reaching children with access to clean water, proper sanitation & hygiene.

Thanks to Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺, UNICEF is proud to handover another fully functional WASH facility to Mamatannana Primary School in Kiribati 🇰🇮 This new facility will ensure every child in school has access to safe and clean drinking water, with facilities equipped with handwashing stations.

In Kiribati, UNICEF has handed over newly constructed WASH facilities in two schools. Thanks to support from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺, 10 schools across the country have received new WASH facilities, reaching over 1,400 children with access to clean water, sanitation & hygiene facilities.
On Kiritimati Island, over 20 young people joined the island’s first leadership training—speaking up, connecting, and taking action. 🌴 Now they’re tackling real issues such as drought, education, and safe spaces for students. UNICEF Pacific #youthledaction
