Congratulations Kiribati 🇰🇮 on the launch of the typhoid vaccination campaign! With support from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺 and UNICEF, typhoid vaccines will be rolled out across the country in efforts to control spread of typhoid fever and protect families and children.

Vaccination = protection Reren, 4, just received her first dose of the typhoid vaccine in Kiribati 🇰🇮 To help parents protect their children, UNICEF is working with the Ministry of Health and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺 to support health services.

These child counsellors in Kiribati have just completed an intensive training on mental health & psychosocial support. Supported by UNICEF, the 🇰🇮 Government is strengthening the capacity of those working directly w/ children to ensure they receive the care & support they need.

I have had the pleasure to engage with UN colleagues in Kiribati on a range of topics. In doing so, I very much appreciated their hard work and their commitment in building a better future for i-Kiribati that leaves no one behind.

In Samoa 🇼🇸, Pacific Ministers are reaffirming their commitment to early childhood development at the #2025ECDForum. Voices from across the region, including partners and experts, are calling for stronger collaboration rooted in culture, identity, and caregiving.
