The north bound on-ramp to I-55 from Natchez Trace Parkway will close at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, March 4. Closures will occur from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. as asphalt work progresses. Learn more at go.nps.gov/gjnshg

Natchez Trace Parkway is closed from Highway 43 Access Road to Ratliff Ferry Road Crossing in Madison County due to a helicopter crash that occurred off the parkway. We will update when the road is reopened.

Natchez Trace Parkway is under a severe weather threat tomorrow (Sunday). Storms could include hail, damaging 70 mph winds & tornadoes. Driving will be difficult & trees could fall into the roadway or a trail. For your safety, avoid the Natchez Trace during this weather event.

Severe thunderstorms are likely along the Natchez Trace this evening & tomorrow & could include large hail, 70 mph winds, & tornadoes. Do not drive on the Trace during strong winds. Take an alternate route, as high winds increase the chance that a tree could fall onto the road.

#NatchezTraceParkway is in a wind advisory. Winds at 20-30mph w/ gusts up to 50mph. Strong winds can cause trees to fall & make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use caution & consider taking alt routes. Call 1800-300-PARK(7275) if you come upon a tree.

4/6/2025 at 9 AM: Natchez Trace Parkway is closed between Friendship Road and MS HWY 371 in Lee and Itawamba counties due to flooding Twenty Mile Creek. Travelers should avoid Natchez Trace and use alternate routes if you must travel. NPS photos.

4/11/25 9:45 am: The restroom at Glenrock Branch (milepost 364) is closed temporarily due to septic tank issues. Staff is working on getting it back open; we will update here when it reopens.
