It was bittersweet celebrating the retirement of my friend, Darleen McClung. Her 21 years with Nashville Sheriff and tireless work in our community have touched so many lives. We thank Darleen for her leadership, dedication, friendship, and wish her all the best in retirement!
Our Community Engagement, Civil Warrants, and Communications Division joined FiftyForward Bordeaux for their Seniors On The Move Walk, Run, & Roll event. Our staff enjoyed cheering on the seniors, passing our waters and walking beside them to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Our staff teamed up with Dept of Correction for their Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training! This training empowers staff to not only recognize symptoms of a mental health crisis, but also gives staff additional tools to de-escalate a potential critical situation. #MentalHealthMatters
During this season, I'd like to give thanks for giving Jelly Roll. Last night, he provided a holiday meal to 300 inmates and staff on the same site where he was once incarcerated.
