I pre-ordered my copy of "The Golden Road" by William Dalrymple on March 5, 2024 at a price of Rs 850. It has not arrived yet. Meanwhile, signed copies are readily available at Bahrisons Bookseller. Also, Amazon itself is selling hardbound copies at Rs 619 ! Moral : never pre-order !
