Talk with your team about the relevance of the work they do. Be proactive in identifying and solving problems for them. Recognize employee contributions in specific, meaningful ways. Connect with your motivation; share it freely with your team. Build #pride for what we do!

‘people rarely need more ideas — what they need is the time to develop and nurture the ideas and questions that they already have’ bravo 👏 Catherine

'Listening is not always what we're hearing, but also the little things that aren't being spoken' - a good reminder from Samantha SLADE to also observe the subtle signals and choice of words (ex: "we" vs. "you")

The thing that's hard about feedback is that you don't get to choose how it's given to you. You only get to choose how you receive it. Getting defensive is an option, but try practicing receiving feedback as a gift. Be thankful someone gave you a window into how they feel.

An important lesson in listening - to recognize empathetic listening versus dismissive, as well as active versus passive listening. As we work to put users at the centre of our work, we must learn to listen effectively to ensure their needs and feedback are well heard. #GC

Heading into Thanksgiving wknd feeling thankful for lots of things including the work family that I've come to know + appreciate on a deep level in just 5 months. Never met them in person but we've shared countless laughs, tears, and successes. Grateful to be part of this group❤️
