I think the biggest problem with the ESPN booth is that neither Doris nor Richard is excitable. Feel like you lose so much of the juice on the broadcast without one of them being hyped

Clear that the Cavs prioritized bringing Merrill back over Jerome. Must be thinking CPJ/Proctor/Lonzo can replace Jerome’s production

Overall, I think today’s moves make sense for the Cavs in the context of the opportunity they have in the East this year. Seems they aren’t short term thinking to fill the Garland void and are willing to (hopefully) use the regular season to prioritize bench development

I think it’s quite clear that the Cavs felt Jerome was more easily replaceable than Merrill. I think it’s also clear that the Cavs felt that they needed a slightly different skillset than what Jerome was able to offer
