If you’re a firefighter or a teacher, you’re paying a higher tax rate than most of corporate America. It’s unacceptable. I’m sick and tired of corporations not paying their fair share. We’re going to change that.

Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, and more school districts across the nation will be offering centralized remote options for students in the fall while offering 5 days a week in person instruction, which is what I’ve called for in NYC. It is now August & we still don’t have a plan.

It is safe to say that we hold teachers to a much higher standard than we do politicians, athletes, celebrities and even parents.

If a deadly, contagious, once in a lifetime pandemic could not encourage school districts to decrease class sizes and cap the number of students in a classroom, then nothing can.
