In a recent @naturecomms paper, the @PATHTweets #NOMADS team present a flexible and cost-effective approach they developed to enable #malaria #genomic #surveillance in low-resource settings: ow.ly/smYG50QGfKA

Genomic surveillance can provide key info on threats to ending malaria, but the parasite's genomic quirks and resource constraints make it costly to deploy. The new approach can help overcome these challenges and expand the settings in which genomic data collection is possible!

Wonderful to see this work published. Congrats to all including Jason A. Hendry, mariateresa and Mulenga Mwenda. The dream of routine in-country drug resistance surveillance empowering national bodies to make data-driven decisions is getting closer.
