Today at Makerere University CEDAT's School of Engineering, the CFIT III National Workshop kicks off! Opened by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, the event celebrates student-led innovations, explores new teaching models, and builds bridges between academia and industry.

Following the call for applications for Product Development and Prototyping Seed Grants awarded by CITT, of the 24 teams that applied, 14 teams met the selection criteria during the administrative review. Congratulations and good luck in this competitive journey! Mbarara University
Earlier today, a 5-days Product Development Workshop- part of the CITT's anatomy of awarding seed grant winners kicked off and was cheerfully commissioned by Dr. Medard Twinamatsiko the Director CITT Mbarara University. 4 best teams from various disciplines will eventually be awarded.
"You need to spice up your entrepreneurship skills as innovators, who doesn't need money?" Dr. Sarah Nabacwa from Faculty of Business & Mgt Sciences Mbarara University -one of the workshop facilitators encouraged the innovators to be market centric, among other business skills.
During Dr. Medard's compelling session, he called upon the innovators to be intentional and come up with solutions that target existing and growing local problems, unlike those who craft solutions and begin to look for problems that they can address! Mbarara University StartHub Africa
Ms. Annah Amwikirize the Commercialization Officer at Mbarara University CITT skillfully moderated the workshop sessions. Other facilitators include a team of able bodied gentlemen from StartHub Africa who also bring vast knowledge and experience for the innovators to tap into.
