I’ve been thinking about how I’ve managed to switch off and rest this weekend. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the reassurance that my team are ok for once. Toward the end of this week I’ve actually heard laughter, it was infectious… and had been a long time missing!

Todays assurance saw me only getting to bay 1 - gassing with the old boys in there; reminiscing about their jobs and the people they worked with. Then getting sent to put the kettle on for them before their lunch 🥰 #mykindofjob #boyfriends #taproom

Emotional last day on staveley. Patients partner said they would wish me good luck but I won’t need it and that I was an asset to his wife. Then both of them give me a hug 🥺 followed by two HCA hugging me too 🥺😢. Would love to go back and work on there @StaveleyWardCRH

We are now back home on Murphy Ward 😊 Thank you for everyone’s help today! Estates and the domestic team for getting the ward ready, and the porters for sending Dave and Chris for helping us all day. And our surgical colleagues for moving our patients too #teamwork ❤️
