Last week two of our Mizzou Animal Sciences Researchers spoke at the 2023 Missouri Pork Expo. Dr. Bethany Redel and Dr. Kiho Lee presented "Coming to a Swine Barn Near You, Gene Editing: Perspectives from Two Scientists".

Normally, CRISPR-Cas9 technology is used to edit plant DNA, but Bing Yang and his lab have discovered it can aid researchers in finding weaknesses in crop diseases. It can modify the genes in bacteria, and it's becoming a new speedy research tool. ow.ly/PQEL50NG51x
