Calling all my colleagues working on the visuality of populism, this is going to be an exciting event which I am proud to co-organise with Jessica Wax-Edwards @waxwards.bsky.social. The event will be free and online, and we cannot wait to read your abstracts by the 31st of July: tinyurl.com/VisualisingPop…

👀 Absolutely fascinating The National Archives exhibition on the Security Service. Well curated, interactive, and informative about over a century of MI5's history. Nice to see the service, like GCHQ, engage with history in new ways. Link here ⏬️ 🔗 nationalarchives.gov.uk/mi5-official-s…

🚨New Publication🚨I'm thrilled to share my latest article on the emotional (de)politicisation of the ‘Oxford’ covid vaccine and EU-UK relations, available on International Affairs's website🇬🇧🇪🇺 As always, it was a joy to work with Nicolai Gellwitzki on this project. academic.oup.com/ia/advance-art…

Delighted to see this out! It was a real pleasure to co-author this piece with the brilliant Dr Anne-Marie Houde on the emotional (de)politicisation of the ‘Oxford’ vaccine and its significance for EU–UK relations. It’s open access - do have a look! 🧵👇

I’m on a panel discussion with Mark Galeotti, Arthur Snell & Joelle Rizk talking about the conduct, representation and documentation of war under digital conditions. This will also be my book launch for War in the Smartphone Age. Would be pleased to see folks there.

My physical copy of the Routledge Books Handbook of Populism and Foreign Policy just arrived at home. What an impressive collective work! I am very honoured to have contributed the theoretical chapter on the stylistic approach to populism.

📻 Immensely proud to be on The Times and The Sunday Times podcast "The Story" with Larisa Brown and Luke Jones. ⁉️ We talk SIS's history, perceptions of it, and the appointment of Blaise Metreweli as the service's first female "C". Link below ⏬️ thetimes.com/podcasts/the-s…

New article by Nicolai Gellwitzki and Anne-Marie Houde in International Affairs that explores the emotional dynamics underpinning the UK’s ‘vaccine war’ with the EU post-Brexit. Read the article in full here academic.oup.com/ia/advance-art…
