I used to collect lands back in 1994. I saved 170 Alpha and 120 Beta basics because I LOVED the saturated colors and artwork. I really wish WotC would bring us back to the simpler days of hand-drawn art and original frame that drew me in to begin with... Thanks for sharing!

4 years ago today I picked up this beautiful Alpha Black Lotus to complete my Alpha set. My my has this little flower flourished since. Sadly, due to recent events, she is now retired - never to “Tap for 3” ever again... sigh...

Today I’m pleased to share the 1st piece of my next project! I have commissioned the original Alpha artists to paint their iconic Power 9 onto Artist Proofs from the 93/94 era. This beautiful piece by Amy Weber is the first to arrive and I’ll share more over the next few months.

7 of 9 Power 9 proxy pieces now acquired. Waiting on Ancestral Recall. The Timetwister though I’ll likely need to find one already completed and for sale somewhere.

Playmat restoration complete! Spent a couple hours today with some professional tailor equipment to restore this playmat and flatten it for conversion to tube storage and eventually framing/wall-mounting. The BEFORE and AFTER pictures speak for themselves. I’m VERY pleased!

Last Thursday 5/30 I was diagnosed with an incurable Stage 2 cancer. I went into emergency surgery this morning and started my first round of chemotherapy today. The moral of this story is if you suspect something is wrong please have it checked. Don’t be stubborn like I was…
