101 years ago today Mississippi Artist Marshall Bouldin III was born. A portrait painter with over 800 paintings in public and private collections. We are thankful to have a few of his paintings in our permanent collection here at the Museum.

“Nuestro Mississippi” is the result of two extended tours of Mississippi in 2023 and 2024, by Austin, Texas based photographer Roj Rodriguez. Interested in learning more about this work? “Nuestro Mississippi” is on view at the Museum until October 13.
