MSEA’s 39th MLK Jr Celebration was inspiring as always. Keynote Carmen Perez-Jordan (CEO of Gathering for Justice) reminded us of our responsibility to act and to bring people with us. She gave the analogy of soup - we all bring something to the pot to make the nourishing dish.

Dreaming of days where I can dive into our transformative work at The Gathering for Justice (and all projects I'm part of) without the constant chase 4 funding. We need a better approach to funding - one that doesn't involve endlessly convincing the same people of our value and impact.
