I am so sick of rent in this city being out of control. I have more students who are homeless than ever before. Their parents are working two jobs trying to make ends meet, while evil greedy landlords send rent prices up up up.

Columbine happened when I was in 9th grade. Never once did we do lockdown drills. Never did I worry that I would go to school and die there. As a teacher now… it’s a different story.

At recess my Littles found a grasshopper. They named him Charlie Oreo. Then someone decided to be mean and stomped him. Several Littles burst into tears. Then they buried him and held a funeral complete with prayers and saying what they liked about him. ❤️ RIP Charlie Oreo
