Remember that not every walk needs to be to get your steps in or your heart rate up. Slowing down allows you to catch glimpses of nature’s little treasures that you might otherwise miss: like turtles sunbathing on a log, or a danger noodle giving bombastic side eye 🙃

Our first ever Oak Creek PS Arts Showcase was a huge success! From the visual art installation to the performers on stage, owls had some powerful messages to share with us last night and I certainly heard them loud and clear. Did you? #RaiseYourVoice

Yesterday in 3A we went to our first round of life-saving swimming lessons and had an absolute blast! Many of us were scared to get in a pool for the first time, but we conquered our fears and it paid off. Love when students successfully use their growth mindset! #swimtosurvive

Back in March 3A visited the White Owl Sugar Bush to learn about Maple Syrup. We had the opportunity to hear from indigenous voices and learn about their ways of knowing in the bush. We also enjoyed a live performance from the one and only Sean McCammon! Thank you Outdoor Ed 🍁

This is the second time in my career that I’ve received a gift in the mail from a colleague as an entirely random act of kindness and my heart is bursting out of my chest. It takes a special type of person to be an educator and I am so privileged to get to work alongside them 💕
