Just learned that my company, RTI International, quickly pulled together a nationally representative study about #COVIDー19 awareness and perceptions at the beginning of March. Super interesting and valuable results. Check it out here:

Folks, NC is near the bottom in responding to the census. If you haven’t yet, it’s easy. Here’s a link to make sure NC gets its fair share of representation and federal resources. 2020census.gov/en/ways-to-res…

Yesterday, a thing happened that I’ve feared since Trump got elected. The Secretary of Interior ordered a reservation disestablished and their lands taken out of trust. It is a really terrifying prospect for native people.

Many millions of rent payments will be due on April 1. Renters accounted for 36.6% of US households in 2016, the highest share since 1965. Black and Hispanic households are about twice as likely as white households to rent. pewrsr.ch/2vBv11C

Six months into the pandemic, data on #COVID19 cases in #Indigenous communities remains scarce. As an infectious disease epidemiologist, and as Native American, I find this distressing. Here’s what I’ve recently gleaned from publicly available (but hard to find) data. A thread:

Yes. This. As a disabled person still being cautious with this pandemic, I found this last year to be especially painful. I'm still really hopeful for 2023, but 2022 taught me just how much I must fight for accessibility for myself and the disability community.
