After our 1st graders explored the magic of mixing primary colors, they created an expressive pumpkin collage. We discussed how it’s important to think and talk about our feelings. Some artists were also inspired by the book Christopher Pumpkin! 🎃🎨 Linkhorn Park Elem. Kathleen Scarborough

Happy November from our Linkhorn Park Elem. 2nd graders and their friendly scarecrows! 🍂 Our artists practiced drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage. They even added pieces of raffia as a final touch to represent the scarecrow’s hay. 🎨

Inspired by “The Colors of Us”, our artists mixed R, Y, Bk, and W to make a variety of skin tones, then created a paper weaving with a symmetrical heart frame. We discussed how beautiful & unique the colors look together. In art and life! 🎨Linkhorn Park Elem. Kathleen Scarborough Allison Dickens

Our 1st grade artists learned the magic of color mixing, then how to create different expressions. While working, we discussed the importance of sharing our feelings. Many artists were clearly inspired by adorable Christopher Pumpkin as well! Linkhorn Park Elem. Kathleen Scarborough

To celebrate kindness week, all 2nd - 5th grade artists created a heart during a collaborative Art and Counseling lesson. Each heart represents a kind act shared by our Linkhorn Park Elem. Lions.
