English H/W: I've been thinking hard about how to make it structured, motivating, genuinely useful and self-assessable. It's also got to reinforce existing grammar / vocabulary instruction. A Big Job! Sharing my ACC H/W booklet: structured essay planning + paragraph practice⬇️

A thread of practice P2 Q5 questions, as I think of them. Not promising they'll all be hugely original but hopefully you'll find some ideas. 1/

Today was my first experience of Cultures morning. Not only was it absolutely brilliant seeing so many students proudly sharing and celebrating their heritage - whilst raising money for a local charity, a very talented Yr11 did this at the henna station. 😍

Soon to be uploaded to Litdrive UK , two 30+ page booklets designed to enhance independent practice and revision for both AQA English Language papers. They're based on 'quick-fire' questions with a range of extracts to choose from. May be useful over the next term for KS4.

This is a massive long shot but my Mum’s 7 month old kitten, Izzy has gone missing in Rossendale. We’ve posted on all the local FB pages, contacted vets and animal shelters, and put up posters but my Mum is beside herself. Please share far and wide. We just want her home. 💔

If you care about the future of the NHS you best buckle in. I’m a doctor. I’ve been trying to tell you all that NHS/gov intend to use physician associates with two year degrees to replace doctors. Well I found proof in official NHS documents. A 🧵 (it gets worse)

Private sector with child one: 26 weeks full pay, flex return with offer of flex around core hours and option of overtime A 🧵on why it’s not just the pay that’s a problem in education. We have huge gender inequality at play for female parent teachers:

I saved this brilliant read by Keira Willis for the summer hols and it did not disappoint. Crime, nostalgia and a paranormal twist in 1980s Manchester. I cannot wait to ‘go back to the ballroom’ when the next book is released in November! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
