Making connections to our math thinking about lines and angles through our love of drawing. Up next we investigate student q's- why are angles important? How can we measure them? Why do we need to? Northridge PS London
So grateful J. Clark-Shody teaches my little one - my grade 5s explored Makey Makeys thanks to her inspiration! We are set to start the coding for our interactive book reflections Monday. They can't wait! Northridge PS London TVDSB STEM
We coded our interactive reflections on "Front Desk" today thanks to a great how-to video we found from Derek Tangredi Ss began to connect the Makey Makey and test their code. Making thinking visible both visually and orally. The recorded audio clips are so insightful! Northridge PS London
So excited to be back again as a contract teacher after leaving Peel, this time with Thames Valley School Board at the wonderful Tweedsmuir Public School ! Can't wait!
It was the best first day at Tweedsmuir Public School ! We did some STEM challenges, used a lot of hot glue (!) made apple towers, told jokes, learned about our school, and just talked together. Such a great day to connect with each child. Relationships first!
We had the BEST TIME learning about the field of engineering, exploring states of matter, and learning about Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids by making oobleck during a special STEM literacy week program. "Nothing without joy" ❤️ TVDSB STEM Tweedsmuir Public School
The First 10 Days of STEM in Gr. 1-8 is ready to launch Thames Valley DSB. Hands on learning experiences have been included to provide Ts and Ss with opportunities to explore and develop Strand A: STEM Skills and Connections. Check it out here: bit.ly/TVDSBfirst10ST…
The best ! This was so fun! And terrifying 😂🧡 thanks for including us! Diana McAvoy Rebecca Channer
Exploring Lego Spike Prime today for the first time. Playing with the software while working on coding a solution for Kiki the Lego dog. We loved the colour sensors & adding our own sounds as we created coding stories and ran the program for our classmates Tweedsmuir Public School
A provocation to continue our thinking about sustainability, energy, and electricity. Looking forward to how students will use the EDP to prototype, code, and share solutions to some of the issues we are seeing and reading about in the gaming world Tweedsmuir Public School
We tested our controllers today and it was awesome. Found that Ss were so much more invested in fixing issues and making changes when something didn't work - probably our best problem solving and persevering this year Tweedsmuir Public School
A few student hacks to complete the circuit but still have two hands to play the games 👌 Tweedsmuir Public School
Hoping to win $500.00 for our snack program Tweedsmuir Public School our guesses: A: cucumber B: cantaloupe and C: broccoli ! #OsnpM @OsnpM
