CPS should consider restoring all cut librarian positions. I know I would serve other schools well, but why are we cutting librarians?

Despite 0 evidence that increasing police funding makes our communities safer, Mayor Brandon Johnson has once again proposed upping the CPD budget to a whopping $1.94 billion! That's nearly $2 billion wasted instead of going to our schools, affordable housing, CTA etc.

It's depressing how many people think crime in Chicago is not closely linked to underfunding of schools, the park district, mental health services, and services for unhoused people.

I must have a different definition of what constitutes a town hall than ChicagoPublicSchools. Attendees of these meetings should be able to ask their own questions and make comments, rather than being talked at for an hour and a half?

Saying that the Chicago Teachers Union & FOP are 2 sides of the same coin is so god damn disrespectful. One side fought for more librarians, no school budget cuts and an elected school board. The other endorsed Darren Bailey and compared the vaccinations to Nazi Germany.
