New art up on display at Cullen! 1st did a study of Caulder with organic shape paintings and fish mobiles! K studied Kahlo’s still life and created a Fruit collage. 4th learned about the Panama Mola and created chalk molas with their own designs. #artmatters Hays CISD Fine Arts

What better way to learn about still life… than to play and arrange with your blocks first?! These 1st grade cubs composed their blocks then used paper and oil pastel to create a still life collage. They reviewed color and shape as well in this lesson. #artmatters Hays CISD Fine Arts

Inspired by the work of Indigenous artist Official Norval Morrisseau our cub artists in 3rd grade used simple shapes to draw their own bear for their work! Then using organic shapes they filled their work with layered analogous colors. #artmatters #collageart Hays CISD Fine Arts Hays CISD
