We had the best day on Friday! After finishing Charlotte’s Web AND filling our class Sparkle Jar, we got to celebrate our learning and behavior by getting a visit from Wilbur’s cousin Christian and watching the movie!🩷🕷️🕸️🐷 Grand Oaks Elementary

We loved going on our text feature book hunt! Students worked together to find certain features and then discussed how they help readers understand the text better. The academic discussions they had were amazing!🤩 Grand Oaks Elementary

We had so much fun cheering on the 4th graders and teachers at our annual Kickout Hunger Kickball Game! Special thanks to Grand Oaks Elementary PTO for providing each kid a school shirt to wear to events events!🤩 🧡

When the movie trailer of your class’ favorite book you’ve read together comes out, you have to watch it together! It was so fun seeing a story we love come to life. We can’t wait until The Wild Robot comes out this fall!🤩🤖

We finished Tomball Reads week by celebrating our love of reading! We listened to a presenter read a book and learned about financial literacy, read with our kinder book buddies, read outside, with flashlights, read word problems and more! 📚🤩 Grand Oaks Elementary

After reading ‘The Magical Yet’ we brainstormed about things we can’t do (yet!) & what we can tell ourselves when we are challenged. Such a powerful student led conversation about the value of growth mindset & positive self talk!🧠💪🏼🤩 We made our own “yets” to help us remember!
